They're waiting. Wouldn't want to make any important announcements until what's-his-name (Davis?) arrives. Of course the format of the event must meet Mr Davis' approval. It would be terrible to upset the poor man's sensibilities, again.

The NFL scouting community uses this term a lot. It refers his ability to reach to make a catch, in other words, the ball doesn't have to hit him square in the chest.
