Just saw the USA Today college football preview magazine:
UConn was picked to finish last in the BE, with a 1-6 conference record and 4-8 overall record. Rutgers was also picked to finish 1-6, but with a 5-7 overall record. Louisville was picked to finish first at 6-1/10-2.
UConn received a 'C' in recruiting. I believe only Temple was worse with a C-. 5 players made the all conference team: McCombs and Griffin on offense. Williams and Moore on defense and Wagner on ST.
Best case/Worst case for the season was based on the early season games. Best was if Whitmer and the transfer WRs step in and produce, the team could beat NC State and Maryland. Worst case was if the run defense struggles, UConn could lose those early OOC games and set the tone for a long year.
