Florida State on a 6-0 run, leading to a Clemson timeout about midway through Q1. Noles lead 11-5.
 
FSU’s hot hand early, Baldwin, got saddled with two fouls in the first quarter.
 
End of quarter 1...Florida State leads Clemson, 20-15.

Three FSU players with 2 fouls each in the first. Didn’t seem to deter FSU much but maybe eventually it will?

Clemson only shooting 21% and only down 5. Imagine if they start hitting shots.

Clemson is a scrappy bunch, for sure. Amanda Butler has those ladies believing they can win. Tigers went on a bit of a run. 29-24 at the 2nd quarter media timeout...and FSU to the line when play resumes.
 
Spray for Clemson has three THREEs and game is tied at 30-30.
 
Another THREE...Clemson leads 33-30. Timeout FSU.
 
Entertaining game, to say the least. After an FSU THREE tied the game at 33...Clemson goes inside for the and-1, FT missed...Tigers up 35-33.
 
I have not watched many non UConn games but I am surprised by the lack of fans at this game.
Maybe they are all behind the benches, where the main game camera is...

Or maybe they are at the CFB Playoff reveal...
 
Halftime: FSU leading 40-35. There was a stretch in the second quarter where Clemson was just the more aggressive, and physical team. FSU seemed to right the ship in the last 90 seconds of the half.

Both teams shooting well from outside.

Clemson WBB hasn't had much fan support since their heyday under Jim Davis. Maybe if Butler makes them a consistent winner, the crowds will come. But, as you mentioned, the CFB playoff reveal was at the same time, and Clemson fans are rabid about their football team.
 
It's amazing how utterly beatable Florida State has looked in every game except the TAMU game.

Edit: and just as I say that, FSU goes on a run to take a 13-point lead in 3Q.

FSU opening the 3rd quarter like they did the first...up 13 now and forcing a Clemson timeout.
 
Here comes Clemson...on a 5-0 run to cut the lead to 9...then a THREE from FSU. 64-52, final seconds of the 3rd quarter.

It is raining THREEs in Littlejohn.
 
I am kinda surprised that this game is on the Fox Sports network and not on the ESPN ACCN. I guess Fox had negotiated the contract before the ACCN went live.

It's on ACC Network Extra, which actually has been around for a few years, and somehow the ACCNX games have been co-broadcast by Fox regional sports networks for at least a year, maybe two now.
 
81-64, FSU, 12.5 seconds left and a Clemson Time Out. Hmm.

Also the Final score.
 
Final: FSU beats Clemson, 81-64. FSU improves to 9-0 on the year, 1-0 ACC. Clemson falls to 3-7, 0-1 ACC. Tigers just ran out of gas toward the end...but they aren't going to be an easy out for anyone. For part of this game, they played some good basketball.

I think Amanda has a ceiling, but she will make them competitive.
