This is going to be the best team we will have faced so far. The team will have to bring a different order of intensity for this one. Max effort. Prime Time on ESPN on a Monday night.

While Florida was highly ranked coming into the year, some of that was based on having their big Chris Walker playing by now.

But he's never played for Florida, he was simply a top recruit. When he does play, Florida might actually be better than advertised because of the development of wing Casey Prather. A late bloomer, he is suddenly playing much better than the team expected. With their guard and defensive stopped Wilkebin returning this week, they are getting back the bodies they need. They have decent size with Patric Young and Yeguete.

UConn fans need to be loud and crazed for this game. This is the first big test. Games have been way too close for the level of cvompetition, and we haven't seen the teams killer instinct yet. Heck, BC is right now in overtime with Sacred Heart, and those chumps took UConn to the brink in MSG!

BC apparently trailed by 11 against Sacred Heart before eking out an OT win. Really glad we didn't blow that one.
Elsewhere, future opponent Stanford looks awful against Pitt.

I didn't watch the game and I don't know much about Stanford but PITT looks very good and seems underrated this year.

Florida is a very good team, even without Hill and Walker. Pomeroy has them as the eighth best team in the country right now. They're extremely well-coached and Young and Yeguette will be a major test on the interior.

Been wanting another shot at them since the '94 tourney. Not the same scenario by any means, but I still remember the sick feeling in my stomach when Donyell bricked those FTs.

Feel oddly sanguine about this game. This UConn team at the moment seems to have a bit of the "plays to the level of the opponent" bug going on sometimes and I think that they'll be more than equal to the challenge of this Florida team. I think the first game we drop is going to be to a team that we far outclass in talent but we'll just get outhustled and have an off night, probably on the road. I don't think this game is totally in the bag by any stretch of the imagination but I like our chances

It's quite possibly the worst I have ever felt after a game. Sitting in that arena, surrounding by all the Gator scum that I have come to despise from living down here and knowing that only BC would have stood in the way of a first ever trip to the Final Four. Yeah, that sucked.

Gator fans are truly insufferable. They are brash, small minded and shallow. The world revolves around the Gators.

Gator fans are like New Yorkers in a lot of ways. They think everything else is small time and inferior.

For a long time they had accomplished absolutely nothing of significance athletically and they still held that attitude. Truly a sad group of people.

Daniels is going to have to turn his motor up for that baguette guy. Got like 20 pounds on him, although Daniels will have his way offensively.

Our bigs will be on a conveyor all night in and out of the game, foul problems will test us for sure.......Young is tough, can't shoot but need to keep him away from the basket and keep our bigs on their feet. If our guys try to block everything in sight there will be putback heaven by the gators.......real tough test!

Who is that? Is she a bowler or a skater? Can't tell what she's doing but I do know one person I wish she was doing!

Google Images' drag & drop feature is a wonderful thing. :D

I was on the john this morning reading the Athlon report for Florida. I felt really good after reading it because I was really bound up. Then, thinking back at what I read I came away thinking that the Gators will pwn us all night on the boards but that their bigs were offensively challenged. So, it may come down to us needing to shoot the lights out in order to win.

Overall, we are right there with Florida and the home court should put us over the edge. Must come out playing hard.

Hopefully Florida is on TV before our game. I would like to see them first

You're in luck! They play FSU on Friday @ 7:30 on ESPN2.

She's pitching a baseball. There is a video of her and two other beauties tossing out ceremonial first pitches in South Korea all while doing flips, splits, etc. Truly inspiring stuff and I will link it later on if I get a chance.
