My wife and I just returned from our first trip to Croatia. While picking up a local bottle of Coke Zero, I spotted this one and just had to add it to my small collection of UConn paraphernalia. We didn’t get up to Zagreb (her birthplace), but I did bring her up a few times during the two weeks we were in the country.

Hope you had a great time in Croatia, My trip this year was to a 7-11, I got a coke bottle with the name Buckets on it. I wonder who they meant. Wanna trade?

Havr an island of the coast but easy to get to and is worth a visit. Split is cool city. The food is amazing- enjoy!

Dubrovnik is a true Medieval walled city with streets made of pure white marble (no cars allowed). When I was there, years ago I saw an amazingly beautiful woman whose cheeks glowed as if she had lightbulbs inside them. I then recognized the man with her. It was John Derrick and of course the woman was Bo. My then 11 year old son got a picture with her and was the talk of his class. We subsequently saw them in Split and other fascinating Croatian sites.

I highly recommend a visit -- even with no guarantee of movie stars.

I have met more than a dozen young adults from Croatia on my travels through Austria and Germany. I have yet to meet someone who knew who she was. WBB is still a niche market.

A Couple of former rivals now friends, rehabbing together and showing up to support their team.

Croatia is beautiful. Slovenia is even better, but then I like mountains. We took a two week tour through Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina two summers ago.

For those who have never been, Croatia has to be put on the travel bucket list. Much to see and enjoy. Dubrovnik (for Game of Thrones fans), Split, Zadar, Hvar, and of course the capital city of Zagreb.

Rent a car with a nav guide and get out and about to some of the less-touristy places like Osijek and Kumrovec. A week to ten days would be ideal with travel if time allows to Slovenia, Montenegro and more if blessed with unlimited time to some of the other neighboring countries within the Schengen Area. Just talking about it makes me ready to pack up and go!

If you are fortunate enough to go, you might even run into UConn's all-time assist leader.
