I’m not that surprised by this to be honest. Expectations aside, UConn finished 17-3 and has done it with a balanced attack across all five starters. All five average between 11-14 points per game. Silas is the lowest scorer, but deserves this spot based on his playmaking (#1 in assists) and defense (defensive 1st team). AK probably could have been bumped down

Contrast that with St John’s, who has 3 double digit scorers. We can round up Sanon (9.8 PPG) but he comes off the bench. A lot of their points are concentrated in Zuby and Hopkins

Nova unsurprisingly also has 5. I think Tyler Perkins has a real case. Brennan unfortunately plays in a league with Tarris and Zuby so he gets bumped off the 1st team

.-.
This is really strange! You would think if you have three BE first team guys, and your other two starters are Braylon Mullins and Solo Ball that you would win the BE regular season.
The bad news? A combination of the coaches, players, and fans.
The good news: We fans can change our attitudes and responsive behaviors.

Be the difference you wish to see.

Note that the UConn WBB team placed 3 on the Big East 1st team, one on the 2nd team, one Honorable Mention, 2 on the All-Defense team, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, 6th Woman of the Year, Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year.

How well-regarded the Huskies are by their most familiar opposing coaches.

Let's join them, and lift the team to victory, one game at a time.

Go Huskies!
