Every young lady who comes to UConn and plays 4 years or more for Geno and his staff, undoubtedly become a much better basketball player. But one other remarkable transformation that inevitably takes place with every one of these UConn players is the maturity they all achieve to become poised, articulate women who are ready to handle anything life throws their way.

Aaliyah & Nika are ready to take on the world. I can’t wait to see what they will accomplish.

Nika does speak English very well. Learning English is mandatory in Slovenia. Not sure about Croatia.

Before she committed there was a video interview of her at an international competition in the US where she struggled a little bit with the language, but the transformation over four years at Uconn is pretty amazing.

Thanks so much for posting this. Watching these two amazing young women acquit themselves so well on this big stage gave me goosebumps. I will miss them terribly at UConn, but I can't wait to watch them in the W!
