First Play of Spring Game

The FG from the one was situational football which is what they were doing.

Was the situation "down 1-2, less than 10 seconds left or in OT"? Because that's the only time that should happen.

You know if you go by the program GDL is still second in command. He is the Associative Head Coach and OL Coach.

The sloppiness was discerning. When they decided to go for a FG, one player casually started to stroll off the field but about 20 feet from the sideline, he decided to stop and watch the play - 12 men on the field should have been called. Some would say not a big deal but then you remember some of the confusion last year on plays. Definitely not following the old coached adage - practice as you would play.

This team never appears to play beyond itself or with passion and energy under P and D. Look at the sideline during games. Nobody seems engaged, there just isn't any energy.

Someone said it earlier -- if you can line up guys for situations you can play a game. Everyone has injuries. We had spring games under the prior regime where we had a ton of injuries but they found a way. If you're concerned about guys being on the field for too long just play 2 running time quarters -- but at least give the fans a taste of something resembling a game. What they decided to do was squat down and take an enormous dump on the fan base.
