The info on the NCAA Statistics page is from the horse's mouth. So, the NET calculation on the NCAA page does use the new quad cutoffs the selection committee will be using? It makes sense, of course, but when I saw the Warren Nolan quads stayed the same as last season, I wasn’t sure what was happening.
...
The Warren Nolan rankings have the same results as the NCAA website. That makes me wonder if he is actually using the new cutoffs but just hasn’t changed the graphic on the site that still has the old cutoffs listed.
The quad system is new this year to WBB. Before this year, the women's team sheets used by the committee were organized strictly by opponent ranking range (1-25, 26-50, 51-100, 100+) regardless of game location. Warren's site has mistakenly been using the men's quad system for his WBB page all along, and that flaw has persisted into this season.
The rankings and the four quad groupings are two separate things. Just because he's used the wrong quad ranges doesn't mean he has the rankings 1-362 wrong. The quad cutoffs don't change a team's ranking.
