First NET Rankings of Season

Rankings for SEC teams. I thought of doing a list for other conferences, but I'm too lazy. Feel free, though.

1—South Carolina
20—LSU
23—Alabama
29—Texas A&M
39—Mississippi State
60—Vanderbilt
61—Ole Miss
65—Arkansas
69—Georgia
77—Auburn
82—Florida
86—Tennessee
92—Missouri
226—Kentucky

Yikes.

If these hold, the SEC would only get 5 teams in the NCAAT and only one team would host the first weekend.

I fully expect LSU to rise (as long as Reese continues to play), and Tennessee will be much better the moment Jackson returns, but I'm not sure about anyone else.

Vanderbilt has a legit shot of making the NCAA tournament.

I haven't looked at the rest of their schedule, but I could see UGA making it... they are probably the 7th or 8th best SEC squad (off the top of my head)

This may be the best the A-10 (the top of it, anyway) has been in a long time, with 3 teams in the top 50 and 3 more in the top 100.

It's still very early for the NET. Data are still scarce, and we're only about 20-25% into the season.

Hopefully Richmond and Davidson continue to do well.

Any of those 10 SEC teams currently ranked between 23 and 86 could make it or not make it. Georgia seems much better than 69th, and A&M seems over-ranked at 29th, just to give two examples.

Does anyone really think Creighton is better than UConn, even w/o Azzi and Caroline? Really???

The data is based off of 3 weeks of non-conference play. Team schedules are all over the place. Take it with a huge grain of salt and wait to see how things wash out during actual conference play.

The only thing this rating does at this point of the season is get fan bases riled up for no reason. Don't we have enough to debate with our families with the holiday season upon us? ;)

I'm not caring about NET until mid-January or later.

Nice of you to put NCA&T (My Aggies) in the ACC.

Teams in top 72 that are not in the top 12 conferences:
37 - Green Bay (Horizon)
55 - Middle Tenn. (CUSA)
61 - Eastern Wash. (Big Sky)
66 - Stony Brook (CAA)
The Sucking Eggs Conference not gonna add much to the SOS of LSU and gonna drag SCar down some.
