I live in Houston (actually, Bellaire, where Emeka Okafor went to HS).

What happened three out of the last four times the FF was held in TX? 2004 (SA), 20011 (Houston), 2014 (Dallas).

I've already bought FF tickets I got through the NCAA lottery. Hope to see everyone down here in April.

"In West Philadelphia born'n raised........."

Ooops, my bad. Wrong Bellaire.

Thank you, Bellaire. I' ll be there. It's too early to plan now, but it would be good to have a designated Husky watering hole. Judging from our threads, good pizza, good wings, and good beer would be three requirements. Think about it and we' ll resume the conversation March 1.

It's Texas. Good barbecue is a given. So is good chili. Good luck on the pizza and the wings.

Texas chili sucks. They don't even put beans in it.

You're confusing beans with onions. Good cjili has kidney beans, black beans and northern beans.

That sounds revolting. Legumes should never be cooked into the chili.

Ground beef
Ground turkey
Green chili's
Diced tomatoes
Roasted red peppers
Roasted yellow peppers
Kidney beans
Black beans
Northern beans
Fresh cracked pepper
Chili powder
Red pepper flakes
Cumin
Salt

Done.

Well , seeing as Houston has one of the largest chili cookoffs in the country every year just before the Rodeo, I think Houston knows a thing or two about chili. I've been to several cook-offs and what I learned is that just like most foods, there are hundreds, if not thousands of variations on chili.

I've tried incredible chili with and without beans, vegetables and even meat. One of the most amazing chili's I tasted had a combination of different meats (I think it was beef, pork and venison), Hatch Chili Peppers, and KIMCHI!!!

My mouth is watering now just thinking about all kinds of Chili.
