Final ESPN 2026 recruiting rankings

Landrew 31 and County 38

Abdou Toure is ranked 14th and a 5 star. I think the staff knows what they’re doing when they choose Landrew over Toure

Not that it matters and not that I know enough about the class to say where our guys should be ranked, but ESPN’s recruiting site/coverage is way behind other sites at this point. Rivals/On3 are the ones to pay more attention to IMO.

Seems really low for Landrew. I hope not getting Toure doesn't bite us in the rear. Not sure where he would fit on the team given Braylon, Ross, and Landrew at the 2/3 anyways, but if he ends up being a stud then that will hurt. He was ours if we wanted him lol

You said it yourself, he’s completely redundant with Mullins and Ross. Landrews size makes him much more versatile.

I think Landrew and Toure will both be stars or pretty close to it. Toure is the more vertical explosive athlete who needs to tighten up his guard skills. Landrew is bigger and a little more polished. They both look like two and dones with proper development.

Both are top ten talents in this class. Duke has their usual 3 guys way over ranked.

I never pay attention to rankings or tape as much as I used to with Ollie or Calhoun guys. Hurley prioritizes culture fit and mentality and there is no rating system for that on any site.

They weren't fresh-recruits, but i think that Mali, Hass and Cam were such stellar pickups because those guys were like Dan clones. I think I see the same in Landrew.

Wish we could have got both and played them together at the 2/3 rotating with Mullins and Ross

I trust Dan Hurley's judgment about Toure being more trouble than he is worth.

isn’t Toure the guy that upon choosing Arkansas said he didn’t like direction of UConn program was going? Despite UConn and coaching staff having won 2 of past 3 National championships … I mean do you really want someone that oblivious in a program that requires players with high IQ?

Seemed more vague than that not sure exactly what it was but he said he didn’t feel UConn would fit his play as much as what Calipari would have. Idk why he couldn’t have been the next Stephon Castle here though

Because he is not a point guard, nothing like castle

Beyond too soon.

Can we not wait until the NBA Draft to see who falls to 2nd round and wants to return to NCAA hoops money.

And either due to that or from Europe (seems the portal is meh now) a backup to Nik for the power forward spot. I have to also think Hurley wants practice pieces with promise to fill out 13-15 for this season.

It is never too early for computers to underrate UConn.
Hysterically bad - putting teams of nothing but portal players and Pat Kelsey in front of us. I realize he's running numbers off the players on the squad, but c'mon. I'd have us 1. Maybe I'm biased.
