a healthy JQ is going to make a big difference for UK, that's a first round/potential lottery pick
 
St. Johns is in full panic mode. The whole team looks scared. Let's see if Pitino is still a Hall of Fame coach.

St. John's rises to the occasion and gets a quality high-profile win at unranked Kentucky! See, anyone can write fanfic.

I hope Seton Hall pulls ahead of them this year. Sick of this dreck. And we need Villanova to move on up again. UConn can't be the only legit Big East team.

St. John's is incapable of being an asset to the Big East. They always disappoint. Prove me wrong, Pitino.

He really will make a big difference. Ejiofor is having all kinds of trouble with JQ.
 
The lack of effort by St. Johns is disturbing and says a lot about the culture of St. Johns. It is time to bury Hopkins on the bench. I have never liked him as a player and he has been stealing money for three years now. Write him off.

This half is an embarrassment for SJU. Unforced errors, bad handles, poor interior D, poor shooting, and nobody stepping up to settle things down.

They're barely averaging a point a minute in 2nd.

Seton Hall has a ton of fight in them (they match Shaheen's image well), but they are very limted. They should make the tournament, but I don't see them doing much, if anything once they get there. Rick may be able to get this St John's collection of players to look like a team by March, but even if they can get into the trournament they aren't going far.

If any of our other eight conference mates can get into the dance (I believe at least four or five have already played their way out) it will be for a very short run.
 
Can't even make a damn layup. This loss is gonna look terrible. Double digits.

Pitino is a shadow of the coach he was at Louisville. Post NIL/Transfer Portal, college coaching is game planning, game coaching, and motivating players. Recruiting doesn't really matter anymore. SJU proved it can raise money to compete, so it doesn't need Pitino for that. He has gotten out-coached in every game against a quality team this season, but SJU still managed to beat Baylor and Mississippi because they are better than those teams.

The offense is a train wreck, and the defense is OK, not great. Some players, like Hopkins, are not playing hard. Pitino is disrespecting the rest of his team by allowing Hopkins to play this lazy. Hopkins should be buried on the bench.

There is too much talent for the wheels to come completely off like they did today. The second half of this game is an embarrassment to SJU. Virtually any coach in the county would be on the hot seat if their team spent what SJU spent and started like SJU has this year, and in particular, played like this in a very big game.

Pitino should be on the hot seat if he doesn't make a deep run in March.
