Field Storming if we win Saturday?

50 50 on this. Nevermore for hoops but we really haven't 'been there' before in football ... for long enough.

Storming the field should be reserved for major accomplishments like an undefeated season or after an unprecedented event. If you are down 30 points in the fourth quarter and come back to win, I say storm away. If you win the game 23-17 in unspectacular fashion, you run the risk of looking like Rutgers who stormed the field after beating a hot garbage Michigan Team last season. Looking like Rutgers in anything sports related is NEVER a good thing.

Which one is this?

Niki Noto is evidently an ESPNU sideline reporter.
OK...I stand pleasantly corrected. That was Shannon Spake. ESPN's "teams" list sideline reporters for the other channels, but I'd be OK if Niki shows up. Is she into chunky, balding older men who smell like tailgate?

Don't all women go for such men? ;)

At the beginning of the week I was totally against the field storming thing for all the reasons stated above

"act like you've been there before" "save it for a tope 5 victory" etc...

But then I thought, these students don't know what it's like to go to a game and watch good football and they don't really have those "so there I was...." stories at the Rent that don't end with the words "horrendous" or "loss"

if storming the field against arguably the biggest end of season game in almost 5 years creates buzz for the students and allows them to say "I was at that game and stormed the field...it was awesome"....well then guys....go crazy

Agree. Field storming is fun. It would be quite a way to end the home schedule with one of the funnest games and field stormings in our program's history. Could be a slingshot into next year's season tickets.

That said, we will still storm the field if we lose 44-7?

I call dibs on the hottest Houston cheerleader.

Aside: if I laid on top of her, would I get flagged for delay of game?

There would be no delay. You'd last 30 seconds and be well within media timeout limits.

This. Storming if/when we win would be a bush move.

But we haven't really been there before haha. I'm all for the students/fans having that memorable experience if we can pull off the win against a top 15, undefeated team. Like Dooley said, it could help propel ticket sales for next season too

Are you insane? You simply don't post like this before a game.

The haters will mock us for storming the field for reaching a very low level bowl.
But what the hell ... it would look good on national TV for our fans to show some passion.

More likely the haters will mock us because it can't be much of a storming. I might feel compelled to join in just to fill out the crowd. And I have a bad back.

tear the goal post down, rip up the sod, start a riot and flip over some cop cars

Did we storm the court vs shabazz, shot vs Fl
No, but I did mock the two little b!tches in front of us with the Gator chomp after hearing their jawing all game. Almost as good.

I wasn't sure if I would or not but once I saw everyone do it and it seemed like the team was reveling in it, I stormed the field as well. And by "stormed" I mean "walked in an orderly fashion."

Best time I've had at a home game since '10, probably.

There were a lot of people on the field. I took some pictures I hope to post eventually. Lots of Uconn chants with the players and cheerleaders in the middle
