Two UConn players were selected to the preseason team:

Amanda Collins
Svea Boker

Collins was selected as the Co-Offensive Player of the Year, and was also named as an unanimous selection to the conference team.

UConn takes the top spot in the preseason field hockey poll. For those of us that like to check these sort of things, the ACC has 7 teams in the top 14 in the poll.

UConn is the the UConn WBB of field hockey.

UConn is the the UConn WBB of field hockey.

UConn may be rated No. 1 out of the gate, but it could be UConn field hockey's version of a rebuilding year. UConn lost 4 terrific senior starters, plus two undergraduate starters from overseas who did not return to the team. It will be interesting to see how things shake out for Nancy Stevens and company.
