You can find team USA on day 2 at about the 3:15 mark and again later in the playback.
You Tube = FIBA U16 3x3 World Cup day 2.
Beat Hungary in a physical, low scoring match and later beat a physically overmatched Japan in a close match. Japan made some long shots, the USA, not so much.
It's a good thing that you can't find stats, the shooting was awful.

USA Men did not have a team in this competition. Also don't think they had one last year.

USA Men should be fielding a team, even if it they're young players to get them ready for international competition.

It is a strange game - fun to watch and most of us played similar games on the blacktop growing up - but very different from the five on five full court game. Height and quickness are at a premium as most of the scoring tends to happen at the basket.

Hard to say if that was by design and or based on fewer minutes......she sure looked pretty good in those video clips!!!! BTW DeCosta had the best USA finish (third place) in the individual skills contest

Having watched the U18 3x3 a few years ago I doubt minutes are an issue. They spread those out pretty evenly. Might have to go back and watch the games if I can find them.

Points, points, points- There's more to basketball than just scoring points. I would take Williams over Littleton any day of the week. She at least was not a defensive liability and could stay in front of some of the opponents quicker players defensively. 3x3 is an interesting game in that it exposes individual defensive weakness's. I don't know if she just wasn't in shape but Littleton looked like her feet were encased in cement. They had some really quick players there. In 3x3 quickness rules over height, which is why DeCosta was named MVP Because she had both and that translated to defensive versatility. It wasn't about who scored the most points at all.

Don't know if Kara would be interested or if Team USA would play enough, I'd like to see Kara as the permanent U16 and U17 Head Coach. If not Kara, someone one of her stature. She should if she wanted to, still have time for broadcasting some events.
