Finally! Even without the title, it's still incredible the success and consistency he's fostered at a small private school with little basketball legacy prior to the 90s. Sadly, in the current NIL and transfer environment, I think Gonzaga is going to slowly start declining, but I'm hopeful the new PAC can at least provide some better tests throughout the season than the WCC ever could (outside of SMC in the last 8-10 years).

Good well deserved
Congrats to Mark Few and the entire Gonzaga Basketball program and fanbase. He has done such a good job with that program and making sure 1999 (coached by Dan Monson) and 2000 was not a flash in the pan. Few has turned Gonzaga into one of the biggest brand names in basketball.
They have a large and passionate fanbase. I think they will be a top 10-15 for a while. They should be able to get good NIL/revenue sharing for basketball talent and they have already established a pipeline to international talent. I don't know how much longer Few plans to coach. If he has another 10 years in him, great. If he plans on retiring soon, Gonzaga needs to have a list of good coaching candidates now.

Well officials missing Kennedy Meeks being out of bounds on the sideline in the last minute certainly didn't help in that game...
They would have been a 1 seed in the what if 2020 tournament too

I don’t think so the 21 team only had 1 L (versus 2) and 3 future nba players starting plus Timme, versus 0 I think. unless you’re saying their opponent was much better

The 2021 team wasn't very athletic, other than Suggs, which was ultimately their downfall. They didn't have anyone else who could get a bucket and their offense isn't intricate like UConn's to help get those guys open looks. There's no way they were beating that Baylor team and we would have known that earlier in the year if their regular season game against each other hadn't been canceled due to COVID positives.
2017 was a better constructed roster in my opinion. If Zach Collins hadn't been hurt for a while, that could have really changed things in the champ game too. Willams-Goss was such a good college guard for that team too.

2021 had more NBA talent but they had a better chance of beating UNC, I think they could play Baylor 10 times and lose all 10, Baylor had them in a blender from the go.

I think Few imagined the 2023 E8 game would put him in the F4 as the favorite, but no...
Likely to be the most accomplished D-1 coach never to win a championship.
