Disagree! Refs have been strongly pro-fever. Catchings bumps the player from minny with the ball 3 times, then they call an offensive foul? Then next play down the Indy center bumps the defender out of the way and it's a no call! Very biased officiating so far, which is strange as wnba refs usually favor the home team. Ticky tack called on Maya and Catchings, Zellous and January are allowed to play very physical ball
Too many defensive overplays by the Lynx. That plays right into the Fever's game. How many times in the first half did the Fever end up with the ball attacking an empty lane? Once is too many and it happened far more than once. On one occasion the overplay continued even as Phillips was driving into the lane, Taj vacated the low block, luckily for the Lynx Phillips blew the layup.
Great line by Rebecca:

The Lynx got out-executed. They will have to bring more game to pull even on Wednesday. Minny doesn't have an inside player with the size to really hurt Indiana (Fowles, Charles, Parker, DeSouza) and a player like Larkins essentially cancels out Brunson.
I was impressed with Indiana's greater aggressiveness, their strength with the ball and the greater determination they showed in running their stuff. That and their tenacity on D inside eventually proved too much.
We'll see what Game 2 brings.....
Except in the 3rd quarter when they got a bit rattled, the Fever was patient and efficient in their offence while Minnesota relied on their individual players for great offensive plays. But it also helps that Phillips and Catchings have been shooting very well in the last two games. Another big difference was the interior passing of January and Catchings to get the ball into Larkins or Davenport in scoring position in the paint.
Yes, but let's not forget how very good Katie was before her injury. I don't see a problem. Will the gods decide it is finally Tamika's time?
