Good match. Murray played well. Fed however played a bit better.

Seems simple enough.
it invariably helps someone when there is a delay. Someone always has some momentum, an the beautiful thing about tennis is that you don't get to take a timeout. As it was, the rain delay came right as Fed broke to win the second set. That's a scenario where the loser of the set often gets behind in the next one quick because you don't have time to dust yourself off.

This is now the second time Fed's beaten the favorite son in his home country in the finals of a major. The other was against Andre in the 2005 US Open.

The forecast for this week shows Thursday as only cloudy, but a chance of rain all the other days. How will that impact the outdoor events? I had better get a slicker before heading over there.

it really was a compelling final. i figured Murray had enough gas to win a set or 2, but figured Roger would take it. Glad Roger won. he's not only one of the all time greats, but a total class act. I hope Murray wins Wimbledon at least once, but i'd rather see him win after Fed retires!
