Sahara Williams: 14 points; West Waterloo moves to the state tourney

I'm really starting to warm up to Sahara Williams because she appears to be exactly the type of athletic as hell, versatile G/F, highly energetic defensive minded wing defender, & great teammate that would fit in very well at UCONN. A couple of impressive "little" thing about Sahara in the this clip: 1) She acknowledges (thanks) her teammate for every assist she receives 2) She was in a full sprint retreating on defense 3) When the game was over she went and found a teammate to hug. Anyone else warming up to Sahara as the type of player that would do well at UCONN?

I like her quite a bit and thought she looked really skilled in early film. I can see why UConn likes her. I keep wondering if it's her or Booker at that position. I'd take either, maybe a slight edge to Booker.

I agree--Sahara is big, athletic and seems to be fundamentally sound (for example, she protects the ball with her body and minimizes a steal from the weak side)--she runs the court very well, seems to be team-oriented and is a good scorer. I can see Sahara fitting in well at UConn...

I can't speak to your question, but I was impressed by her running back on defense as well.

She's just relentless, the kid can run all night. And a 5-10 guard who goes down inside when they need it and gives a clinic on a drop step and straight up turnaround J? Maybe she could do a video for the UConn bigs.

Never stops moving, incredibly fit, and tough. The basketball IQ is pretty great too. UConn really lucked out with her.

As Bueckers and Fudd transition out of their UConn careers, Shade seems like the kind of kid to mature into the respected glue type player every team needs. And you're right, she broke a sweat but didn't look like she was breathing hard.

JUJU Watkins is playing now on Bally Sports against Etiwanda in a CIF-Championship Open Division Final. Channel 1776 on UVerse.

Kennedy Smith and my beloved Etiwanda Eagles beat Sierra Canyon 67-59!

10 of 34 shooting...is she the only option on that team ?
Watching some of their games I would say she is basically the only option. It's to the point that I don't know if they would win any games without her.

KK very strong, plays great defense, and like Paige and Azzi, seems to have high level of basketball DNA. She is so much more athletic than the competition, difficult to project how good she ends up being.

Did you watch the game? I recorded it but watched only a little of it live. Etiwanda was losing when I turned it off. I'll finish watching it today.
