dude's game is so clean and efficient, had 32 last night but lost to a bummy Maryland team because he got no help

Currently mocked in the 20s but how does he not rise into the lottery?

He's a senior so you know how that goes
Yaxel is too, even though he has the physical and athletic build the NBA likes to see.

This draft can play out 100 different ways.

Partially just a horrid year for seniors.

The freshman class is really good and really deep this year. There should be a good amount of sophomores and juniors forced to come back next year with the weaker freshman class next year. Some good freshmen may also opt to go next year.

Yeah there’s a lot of differences and I’d take Clingan over Mara for sure.

They have the makeup to be supremely bigger, faster, and stronger than everyone else in the country like ‘24 did. Even in this absolutely loaded year for talent.

Mara’s and Clingan’s #s are pretty similar with Mara actually averaging more bpg at this point.
UM has a really, really good bench as well.
He’s SO good.

Nowadays the PG position is quite blurred, and that’s no complaint necessarily, but this dude is a PURE PG and he’s a lights out shooter.

If you haven’t watched him play a full game, do yourself a favor (not you aceboon, “you” out there).
How did they lose to a horrific Maryland last night?

It really can, after the top 5 or so. The next 20 are a schmorgasborg. I feel like Mullins can go 10, or 25. There are a lot of very good players in that group.

Maryland is getting better. Iowa is OK but he's the main attraction there.

I’m not sure I disagree. It’s tough for other people to claim his injuries aren’t legit, only DP knows how he feels. I wouldn’t be playing injured in his position either and I think it’s unfair for people to expect that.

If you question his long term potential bc he’s injury prone, that’s 1 thing. Making claims about soft or selfish is tough, imo.

What else is Self going to say?

Peterson clearly wouldn't have been out there before the game warming up with all his teammates if they thought he had the flu. Self conveniently didn't bring up the last game.

I think the CBS Sports pod with Parrish and Norlander brought up good points after the BYU game when they pointed out how it keeps being reported as cramping issues but whenever we see him on the bench he's not being attended to by a trainer, he's never on bike when checked out of the game to keep warm, he's always just sitting there.

I’d love to know what the boosters paying Petersons salary think about him sitting out of every important matchup? Surely they’re more upset than the fans about it?

Right now, I bet they're telling themselves "we're paying for The Dance."

No doubt Peterson gets drafted high, lots of arguments for him being the best player in the draft. I do think that at some point, GMs are going to start asking questions about his level of buy-in. NBA season is a real grind and you gotta have guys who want to play basketball every single day.

This is interesting - SEC ranking the highest because their middle to bad teams aren't as bad as the B12 or B10. Better balanced, less bad at the bottom.

That can't be right. You have assured us repeatedly that the Big East is a mid-major, but that ranking says, much like I have about 500 times this season, that the Big East is a little behind the ACC top to bottom.

Do you ever plug into what the National media thinks of the BE? Perception is reality.

We’ll be getting the same amount of bids as two mid majors.

Here we go again. You know who will have to answer this appalling attack on the Big East.

Only somewhat tongue in cheek…but NBA is not for people who play every single day. They’ll probably tell him to sit for 2 years.

He was basically an entire offensive system by himself, led KState to a score away from reaching the Final 4
Interesting you say that because you know who Markquis Nowell's favorite player was growing up? Here's a hint: same as Malachi Smith's favorite player growing up.
