Almost Sounds like youre giving DNP the benefit of the doubt?End of day, they want him when it matters. Whatever is going on with him, if he does have lingering stuff, they just need him to show up for March.
I think I am - they're a much more interesting team with him. He's an amazing watch. They don't have enough horses without him. Counsel and White are nice players, but they're not enough to be a serious contender. If they get him back for a couple weeks and FT into March, I would put them right up there with everyone else. Bidunga/Tiller are a really nice 1-2 punch inside. Counsel/DP/White make for a solid trio outside.Almost Sounds like youre giving DNP the benefit of the doubt?
He's hopping on the Miami of Ohio bandwagon. They are undefeated after all.Can we do a quick poll??
When AZ loses tonight, will Ruff Ruff go back to Michigan?? Flip to Duke? Houston??
Inquiring minds want to know who the new monster of MCBB is
Were we ever not? Watched tonite, AZ got some stuff, but I’d take St John’s over them(the Friday MSG version)So are we back to title contenders??
I was expecting them to lose this one - although not w/o DP. No unbeatable teams this year. Phog Allen is Phog Allen. It certainly makes our win look that much better - would not be surprised if we weren't the only visiting win there this year. It's going to be all about matchups this year.So what do you have to say about your invincible team tonight???? Cat got your tongue???
Very strange, I didn't post that yet it's showing up in my name and I got alerted. Were we ever not? Watched tonite, AZ got some stuff, but I’d take St John’s over them(the Friday MSG version)
Why the dislike @Mr. French? He was 6-25 FG tonight. Granted his season average is better, but not great at 42%. With his speed and ability to get to the rim, if he was a good finisher, that number would be much higher. He seems to get to the rim at will, but a bad finisher.
Especially if Kansas keeps winning without Darren DNP Peterson. That win @Kansas is going to look very, very good on the resume come Selection Sunday.
I assume his middle name is NicholasEspecially if Kansas keeps winning without Darren DNP Peterson.
As a half-hearted Wizards fan (I don't think there's such thing a a diehard Wizards fan), I'd be pretty unimpressed if they pick Peterson over DybantsaBecause he's not a competitor or a good teammate.
I don't care how gifted he is, in this draft I wouldn't take the gamble on him at #1.
You really need to stop using "we" when talking about UConn. You've proven ad nauseam you are anything but a UConn fanI was expecting them to lose this one - although not w/o DP. Bradley a total no show was something I didn't see coming. KU plays really good D anchored by Bidunga.
The bottom line is that scouts are now wondering out loud what's going on behind the scenes. Ironically, it comes with more certainty than ever about what they're seeing between the lines: Peterson, not Dybantsa and not Duke's Cameron Boozer, is the best prospect in this summer's draft.
The second interpretation, one that's being speculated about: That his inconsistent availability is the direct result of his agent, Darren Matsubara, and his father, Darryl Peterson, pulling all of the strings here and being overly cautious. While these whispers are not new, they've intensified since Saturday's game when Kansas Deputy AD Sean Lester came over to speak with Peterson in the middle of a stoppage in play. There are even reports, currently unconfirmed by CBS Sports, that he had previously spoken with Matsubara in the tunnel immediately prior to going over to Peterson.

NBA scouts love Darryn Peterson, but even they are starting to wonder what's going on behind the scenes
As Peterson's availability continues to fluctuate, NBA scouts and executives are circling three competing explanations for what's behind it.www.cbssports.com
He meant to respond to my post. WeirdVery strange, I didn't post that yet it's showing up in my name and I got alerted.
You're crazy. Peterson is a much more complete player. I'd take both Boozer and Wilson over AJ. Mocks currently have the Wizards picking 5th anyway. Lottery will be interesting this year.As a half-hearted Wizards fan (I don't think there's such thing a a diehard Wizards fan), I'd be pretty unimpressed if they pick Peterson over Dybantsa

Tall isn't everything, but in a game based on a 10 foot rim, scouts prefer it. How many Mugsy Bogues and Spud Webb's have we seen in the last 20."The reality is taller is better" -Huskyhawk
Peterson should clearly go below all those guys.
Clearly the kid at Florida should go #1. All things being equal tall>less tall. But this isn't a draft thread either."The reality is taller is better" -Huskyhawk

They have multiple significant wins in the last couple weeks. Blew out TT on the road, crushed ISU at home. I'd say more than flavor of the week. I think viewers right now want to see teams prove how good they are, as early season schedules can be less predictive given they're 4-5 before March. How you're playing now is what matters. While there is no doubt Kansas is playing well enough to make the Final Four, you have to also factor in the "How many suckers/non-sharps/casuals/fans on a big-win high can we get to take a team at a lower payout value than what they are truly worth" factor that the Books absolutely use with these Futures bets.
Regardless of true team strength, they will always offer highly-visible (bad) odds for common blue-blood type teams. The more cash they can get on bad payout bets, the better for the books.
Kansas is the flavor-of-the week after beating Arizona.
Olivier. I would only take him #1 if he measures 8 feet tall barefoot at the combine.Clearly the kid at Florida should go #1. All things being equal tall>less tall. But this isn't a draft thread either.
There are a lot of ranked teams playing today. Chances for some shifts. I wonder if Purdue can get a big win vs Nebraska (words I never thought I'd type about basketball).
is that due to welching? Not allowed to bet here. I have no idea where he will be drafted but I definitely think he'll play in the league. I think Acaden Lewis will too.
Do you think either of those guys is better than Newt? Not allowed to bet here. I have no idea where he will be drafted but I definitely think he'll play in the league. I think Acaden Lewis will too.
No way, sounds like you just have something against Peterson. He should go #1"The reality is taller is better" -Huskyhawk

Board rules, ask Tom about it.is that due to welching?
I think they're both way ahead of where Tristen was when he was at their stages in his career.Do you think either of those guys is better than Newt?
