Jeez. MSU w/ 3rd and long backed up into their own territory...87 yard TD pass. I think 3 defenders took each other out after the initial catch around midfield. UM eventually caught up to Dowler but he cut back against the grain and walked into the end zone. 34-23. MSU back in control again.

This has been like 3 different games. MSU starts out 20-3. Then UM scores 20 straight. Now 21 straight for MSU. Momentum is fickle apparently.

Montana St. will be considered the favorite in the championship, but it would be a huge mistake to overlook Illinois St. at this point. Will be interesting.

Bummed that the Griz couldn't make it to the final as I was really enjoying watching this team combine its tough defense with a fun offense. With that being said, my Montanan wife informed me that the state tradition is that if only one team advances, the state unifies together, so I'll root for the Bobcats on January 5th.

With that being said, Illinois State's run has been crazy. Started the year 4-3 and now the team has won 8 of its last 9 games, beating the #16, #1, #8 and #12 seeds in the tournament.

I love this playoff. These teams play fast, fun football. I wonder how we’d stack up to these two teams. I think we’d win, but they’d move the ball pretty well.

Seems fair. I know next to nothing about FBS football, but I feel like the top end quality of the FCS level is lower than the last few years.

There's no quit in Illinois St. Very impressive performance throughout the playoffs.


I'm rooting for Montana St. Been knocking on the door of a Championship for several years, hopefully they can hold on and get it.
