Agree on all, just wish they took credit cards. It's hard to walk out of there without the tab being over C-note and we usually have to make sure we have enough cash on hand.Bill's Seafood in Westbrook is our favorite spot, we've been going for 40 years. One of the few places I can find excellent RI chowder as well as top notch lobster rolls. Drinks are always nice and the place often has live music. Casual for sure.
Yes. It’s still open. And they probably haven’t changed the oil in the fryers since the last time you were there. LOLIs Arnold’s still open on the Cape have not been there for about 10 years but it was always good when we spent our Memorial Day weekends on Cape Cod in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
Yes it was commercialized because of location but the whole belly clams were always good.

How many frisbees are there laying around? LOL Every cottage I've ever set foot in has at least one Arnold's frisbee.Yep.
We go there about twice a year and I always get the tall beer where they give you the glass - my inlaws cannot bring themselves to throw anything away, (they have wonton soup containers from the 70s), so while they cannot stand that they have an entire cabinet above their fridge that has nothing but Arnold’s glasses, they’re powerless to do anything about it.
Bill's seafood is the only correct answer here.Lobster Landing in Clinton for Lobster Rolls and Bills Seafood in Westbrook for the food and hang.
So the place smells like the XL Center?Yes. It’s still open. And they probably haven’t changed the oil in the fryers since the last time you were there. LOL
You can smell the oil when you drive by with the windows open.So the place smells like the XL Center?
Arnolds is still there but we lived in Truro and it was just that much further to not be worth itIs Arnold’s still open on the Cape have not been there for about 10 years but it was always good when we spent our Memorial Day weekends on Cape Cod in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

Mid-80's you couldn't get in on a Tuesday. You had to hope to find a couple of seats at the bar. It was good though, not a rip-off, iirc.Anyone remember the days when Legal Seafoods in Boston was the go to?
I love grouper. I didn't realize that it was in the same family as sea bass. Both very tasty. A few years back I had a delicious sea bass at Atlantic Fish Company on Boylston in Boston.I like that grouper.
No longer living in CT. Moved to central Florida almost 9 years ago.
Within the first 6 months down here, we found a great seafood restaurant. Town Taven in Celebration in Celebration, FL. Their sister restaurant is Kelly's Landing in Boston. Fresh seafood arrives every morning at around 5 AM.
Our community has many CT, MA and RI retirees. We know were the best seafood is. So if you visit down here, remember the name. You won't be disappointed.
I like Max’s Oyster Bar as well. I believe they offer Buck a shuck early in the week. They used to make a pretty good paella as well.Close Harbour, Southington
Max's Oyster Bar, West Hartford
Max's Fish, Glastonbury
Shell & Bones, New Haven
I can only comment on places I've been to
