No particular order:

  • Amida's first sequence in the first exhibition game. Love at first sight.
  • Shabazz's follow, scoop Chrome off the floor, sprint back on D.
  • Chrome's ridiculous floor dive that almost worked but had no business being as close as it was.
  • Giff's rim run against MSU after a made basket. Mostly for the Gardens reaction.
  • The Boat to Bazz to Boat transition give and go that finished with Boat rope-a-dopin Lee in the NC game.
  • Bazz TKO'ing Nova with a sequence of 3 obnoxious 3's including one from Roxbury and another off a Fred flintsonesque twinkle toes walk up.
  • The tap back.
  • Mida's block to Tsam who lobs for Face. The future.
  • Mida saves our season.
  • Tyler's MD onions.
  • Every AB block, but in particular, the two handed stuff on Rubles, and the 3 pt finger wag.

Uhh Bazz's ultimate display of testiculos against Florida in December? And then the swag to nearly run out of the building!

Honorable mention to the 33 footer he buried in the first half against UK.

  • Shabazz's buzzer beater.
  • Niels breakaway dunk vs. Florida.
  • Nolan's beautiful spin move.
  • Boat's layup vs. Kentucky.
  • Brimah's block vs. Iowa State
  • Niels' 3 vs. Iowa State w/ a little over a minute to go.
  • And of course, Amida's 3-pt play vs. St Joseph's.

Some other additions:

Boat's step back over Randle at the shot clock buzzer
LK's offensive rebound and pass back
Bazz harassing a frazzled Wilbekin into a turnover and a breakaway
The no look alley oop from Boat to DD vs Florida (and the series of lobs to DD against zones at the FF - good preparation)
Boat's defense on final Kentucky possession (and the rebound to wrap it up)
Bazz pull-up vs Michigan State up by 2 w a minute left
Unexpected points from TSam on fearless drives when we needed them
DD fadeaway vs Florida

And lastly,

The visual of a long, long series of clutch free throws going in

Bazz against MSU - free throw line jumper with about 1:40 left.

Bazz against MSU - 3-ball with about eight minutes left. Both of those were daggers.

Also Niels dunk right after that three to make it 46-39. The Garden went bonkers.

Lastly, the quick 11-0 run to get us back in it against Florida at the final four.

Play of the year for me is Bazz throwing that two handed shovel pass to DeAndre in stride against Temple. Still don't know how he did that.

For some reason Boats baseline move vs UK where their defensive specialist let him turn and go back baseline for the reverse lay in………sticks in my head as a great deke by Boat and just stupidity from a defensive guy………

So many others I wouldn't know where to begin……..but OakFor has them covered……...

I think it was the first game against Memphis, Shabazz drove in the lane and kicked it out back out to the top for a DeAndre Daniels 3. Memphis calls a timeout and you can hear Shabazz just screaming "AHHHHHHHHHH" towards DeAndre.

I don't know if it's my favorite or the best, but TO's Testiculo 3 vs. Maryland is most underrated. Without that shot we don't win, we don't build momentum, we don't have the year we had.

It makes me sad that, 30 years from now, people won't remember guys like TO. They'll look at the boxscore and say "meh," just like people now do for Lyman Depriest and the like.

What a great year.

Seeing Boat run out the clock in the title game. That was the happiest I have ever been for a UConn player.

Around my house, Lyman is a folk hero. TD, not so much.

Boatright's steal against (I think) Michigan State, where he runs past the ballhandler and then cuts back and just takes the ball out of his hands for a fast break the other way.

Same game, but I loved, Boat's drive and fade pullup jumper over Randle late in the second half. Incredible elevation on the pop and the shot. Such a critical situation and bucket.

Boat's Tourney no look alley opp was special! Please fill in the blanks as my memory is fading.

Not first to write this - but

The security in knowing that the team would make their free throws - frustrating for opponents trying to cut a lead with clock time disappearing and (perhaps the best) leaving a Division 1 head coach, with the NC game on the line, with no options other than to provide his team with no strategy, stand with his arms folded and then unbelieveably admitting it in the presser after the game.

DD 's play in the first Florida game .
He went out on the high post to try to set a screen for Bazz's first shot.
From that position he got through the Entire Florida team into position to control a quick tap to a wide open Bazz.
DD has better rebounding instincts than he is given credit for.
Boat making a fool out of the UK defender in the NC game was a closes second.
