One of the great guitar solos of all time IMO:

(Creedence Born on the Bayou)
John Fogerty is well-regarded, but still IMO a really underrated guitarist. Half their songs could be in this thread. Here’s a beautiful song with some great guitar work:

You got Sultans of Swing from Dire Straits. but their leader, Mark Knopfler, went on to have a pretty distinguished solo career afterward. Here's one from 2016, "What it Is." It shows off Knopfler's guitar style, and demonstrates the sort of Celtic rock that his music developed into.

Some people were shocked when this song came out because it was a ballad with a great "rock" guitar solo by Tony Peluso. Richard Carpenter wrote this song and thought a guitar solo would be great with it, wanted something that had never been done before. There were people that accused the Carpenters of "selling out to rock", but in the end it became one of their biggest hits and most loved songs.

If you're gonna put a live version. This one is much better.

25 or 6 to 4 (at Tanglewood)

I've already posted that one numerous times.

My all-time favorite Windham Hill LP (technically Dancing Cat Records). George Cromarty (RIP) delivers on every track. It's a relaxing 44 minute trip. The entire album is here.

So a fresh-faced kid walks into the bar and offers to play a song for the locals for a pint of their best...Just an FYI - Marcin is not limited to Bach.

A couple of days ago i mentioned that i liked the blues period of FM the best. I like their "pop" music too. Here's a Buckingham song:
