FAU v San Diego State

Refs giving subtle favoritism to FAU: dribble on baseline (no call and then foul granted), travel (no call), call a few iffy fouls on SDSU…feels a little like George Mason against us in 06

My view from the moon aka section 609

Both teams with 3 timeouts left. Both teams in the bonus. These last 6 minutes are going to take 30.

I wouldn't expect to tip until 9 pm Eastern.

Feeling somewhat better if we advance.

What do you think the percentage of fans per school is?

I wanna say it’s relatively even. Pretty close to 20% each for FAU, SDSU, UConn, Miami then 20% others/locals. Maybe slight advantages for SDSU fan count wise for game 1 and looks like Miami for game 2. FAU appears louder than SDSU in game 1.

Whoever wins this game is going to root for Miami. FAU fans would probably also root for Miami. The locals/general fans I wouldn't expect to root for us.

It's not quite playing Texas, but I'd expect to have the crowd be at least 2:1 against us.

Which team is a better matchup for.....the team that wins the next game?

Nobody's rooting for us outside of UConn fans. Let's just accept that now.

Game time will be closer to 10pm. And that's assuming no OT. Game is a slog right now.

Watching two teams try to throw the game away. Gross basketball.

This is a tough call. Clearly an elbow, but basically a love tap.

Yeah this isn't a correct take on the situation. The SDSU player elbow'd the FAU player in his diaphragm. He reacted with gesticulating arms, but soon after went to his knee because he had his wind knocked out of him. This on a stoppage of play. The definition of a technical foul.

Wow that play reminded me of Ray Allen. Or Kemba. Or Shabazz. Or Ben Gordon. Or Rip Hamilton. Or...

Probably already asked, but do they clear out the stadium before the UConn game? Are tickets only good for one game?
