"Farewell" Games ?

Will there be the usual Geno engineered "farewell" games in 2025-26 for Azzi and Caroline? I don't see anything resembling that on their non-conference schedule. I assume Azzi would have been in the Virginia area and one for Caroline in Massachusetts

Every home game is a "farewell" game for Caroline, and Azzi's parents are at every game although the games at Georgetown could technically count for Azzi's.

Not needed

Azzi lives close to Georgetown
Caroline lives close to Storrs (and Providence)

And looking ahead
KK lives close to Marquette
Shade lives close to Butler (and a few hours from Xavier, ND, and DePaul)
Ice will probably have to settle for the game at USC, which is a few hours from home

The only "homecoming" game I'd expect for sure would be one vs Duke (or possibly NCSt/UNC) for Strong

How about a summer European tour including Ireland for Gandy, and Italy for Blanca (okay not precisely a homecoming since her family is in Ecuador but it would at least be a chance to revisit her old stomping grounds)? Maybe even include a swing by Egypt for Jana.

I believe you get one summer trip every 5 years and the last one was in 23(?) during nikas tenure.
And I doubt the budget would allow multiple stops across Europe and Africa

A team actually is allowed one summer trip every four years. You are correct that the last one was in 2023, so there could be another one as early as 2027.

As more foreign players enroll at American universities, I wonder if the NCAA will consider relaxing the limit down the road.

Tim and Katie have been to almost every UConn game over 4 years, whether Azzi was playing or not. Her grandparents and uncle were at all the home games, at least.
