A shoutout to our staff.

I've followed our football recruiting for a quarter century, and I've never seen anything like this. As amazing as the portal work was (which had to have required a tireless effort by many of our coaches), the volume of offers for high school classes of 2027, 2028 & 2029 is stunning. We're still in January and the numbers exceed what we would have expected by August in prior years. I have a great feeling on things to come under Coach Candle.

The only person working harder than our staff is @huskymedic keeping us current with the postings. A shoutout to him as well for going far above and beyond the call of duty.

Time will tell of course on how this all goes and results / success may not be full apparent until years 2-3 down the road.

I was shocked when Mora left for CS.

But in reflection maybe he had run his course here and didn't have it in him to rebuild - not here at Uconn.

This Candle situation - it may be the the best thing that could have happened to our program - take us to that next level.

We were good this year - no doubt - take it all day long. But we still have so much more room to get better and enter the National College football discussion as a solid team. We got a lot of press this year for being decently good - But that "shiny apple" of "hey Uconn doesn't stink anymore will be over next year."

Frankly, I think we're ready for it - perhaps more than we have been in past years. Again, time will tell but I am loving the Candle era thus far.

With the turnover of so many players it's hard to know what we will look like next year. I like the quality the players brought in given who they played for and who else was interested, but I'm trying to keep my enthusiasm in check. Candle has to rebuild almost from square one. It's a huge job. I'm impressed by the speed but not sure what we actual have.

I’ll bet the over again. Cool aid drinker here.

It appears to be a perfect mix of seasoned veterans that can immediately be plugged into the lineup and depth and developmental players who will be positioned to take their places after they graduate. Kudos to HCJC and Staff on a helluva job!
