Sorry. He didn’t deserve to start from the get-go. Don’t want to see him get hurt, but order has been restored to the QB position.Jackass.

Jackass.
He’s right though.
There are many thoughts that don't need to be shared.
What do you guys think it is that makes us so bad at recruiting QBs in particular? Like ok we’re obviously not getting the top say 75-100 QBs but there are thousands of high schools across the country - you don’t think we could get SOMEONE halfway decent?
Maybe I’m naive but in my mind wouldn’t someone rather actually play ball than sit 4th on the Michigan depth chart and probably never see the field?
Not sure I agree. Roberson worked his way to number 2 at penn state. That’s at least as good as 4th at MI. Millen was also highly rated. What do you guys think it is that makes us so bad at recruiting QBs in particular? I've pondered this same question thousands of times. I always tell myself that probability would suggest only a few HS quarterbacks are good enough to play D1 at a competent level. 'Its not uconns fault' I say to myself. "It's not like there are tons of good d1 level qbs to choose from".What do you guys think it is that makes us so bad at recruiting QBs in particular? He’s really not. He didn’t run much in limited time at PSU, didn’t run last weekend, and everything I can find about him in HS only talks about his passing yards. The one thing about Roberson is he was a true dual threat when he came to UConn. My hope he still can run well enough and throw to make this team go.
I hope Joe Fagnano has a good recovery from the surgery this week.
Yep. We shall see, but the dual threat label isn't justified at this point. I tend to think it is presumed because he's an undersized, athletic looking QB. He's a physical specimen, so hopefully he's got some wheels. He’s really not. Yeah im cautiously excited. He looked way better than Fagnano had. Ultimately we’re still stuck with a horrible OC so im not expecting muchYep. With a small sample, it is clear as day that TR gives us much more explosiveness vs. JF. TR has a chip on his shoulders, and this is a good chance for him to stay healthy and be the new leader of the team. I really hope he will have a great game this coming SAT.I stay this understanding that someone far more knowledgeable about football made a decision on QB to start off the year, but I truly believe that TR gives us a much better chance to be successful in the RPO because of his athleticism than JF ever could. Joe might have better accuracy, better understanding of the playbook, all valid - but a defense needing not only to account for the RPO but also the QB option and his ability to run as a 3rd choice should make TR's first read be easier, and thus more productive. I can't wait to see if I'm right.

You also have to wonder if Charlton will be afraid to run too much because he doesn't need to have another season with only one healthy QB.Yep. Wghat?!?!Honestly, outside of the bowl game and Army, Zion wasn’t the worlds worst QB. We were scrappy and found ways to win. I’m hoping Ta’quan brings the same mindset.

Because with the exception of Liberty, every win, the defense held the other team to 14 or fewer points.Honestly, outside of the bowl game and Army, Zion wasn’t the worlds worst QB. We were scrappy and found ways to win. I’m hoping Ta’quan brings the same mindset.
