So here it is. This is a simple game. For each round of the FA Cup (starting with 3rd round), you can pick any matchup of your choosing and you select a winner. If your team wins, you move on to the next round. If you don't pick, your team loses, or they go to a replay, you are eliminated. You can only choose a team once.

Matchups are here (under Third Round Proper): 2016–17 FA Cup - Wikipedia

My pick: Ipswich Town (2) over Lincoln City (5)

Division in parenthesis.

Well, my pick (Ipswich) is heading for a replay at Lincoln. Lincoln had the league twice too.

Brentford and Wyconbe advance.
Stoke loses to Wolverhampton

Great day. Spent 4 hours in a conference room for a strategic planning meeting. Spilled a sandwich all over the floor (dramatically) in front of all my partners. Almost wiped out in the snow driving home. And found that I made it all of zero rounds in the first time I've ever played an elimination.

Lousy day. The Lions winning, and interfering with Edsall's time for another week, would make it perfect.

The draw is tomorrow afternoon.

So shizzle, if Ipswich wins the replay, would you and I still be alive, or are we out b/c they drew the other day?

We're both out unfortunately. It's printed in the rules at the top.

Here's the 4th round for FA Cup. Very few all EPL match ups... actually, none scheduled so far, and only the potential of 2 depending on what the replay results are next week (Southampton v Arsenal (if Southampton beat Norwich) and Palace v City (if Palace beat Bolton). Otherwise not too many super compelling match ups at first glance

FA Cup fourth-round draw in full:
Tottenham v Wycombe Wanderers
Derby County v Leicester City
Oxford United v Birmingham City/Newcastle United
Sutton United/AFC Wimbledon v Cambridge United/Leeds United
Liverpool/Plymouth Argyle v Wolves
Norwich City/Southampton v Arsenal
Ipswich Town/Lincoln City v Brighton and Hove Albion
Chelsea v Brentford
Manchester United v Wigan Athletic
Millwall v Watford
Rochdale v Huddersfield Town
Sunderland/Burnley v Bristol City/Fleetwood Town
Blackburn Rovers v Blackpool/Barnsley
Fulham v Hull City
Middlesbrough v Accrington Stanley
Bolton Wanderers/Crystal Palace v Manchester City

That game was insane.... especially the final 10 minutes or so. Spurs with a late goal to even it up, and then a few minutes later a VERY late goal for the win... overcoming a 2 goal deficit twice during the game.

Just a quick question. What happens if we get to the Final game and we've picked both teams? Are we Screwed?

I also love that Lincoln City is still alive. I love cheering for the little guy

You'll get an exception, but I doubt you'll get that far. One of you two will fall for a seemingly obvious beatdown only for the match to end in a giant-killing.

The fact that Lincoln City and Sutton United are both still alive in the final 16 is amazing. They are both in the National League (the 5th division). Lincoln is top of the table, Sutton is in SIXTEENTH place.
Love it!

The draw is in an hour or so for round 5, and of the 16 teams remaining...
7 or 8 will be from the EPL - 8 is Leicester wins replay v Derby
4 or 5 from the League Championship (2nd division) - 5 if Derby wins replay v Leicester
2 from the League 1 (3rd division) teams
2 from the National League (5th division)

Slefishly, I would love to see Spurs v Sutton United (who are just on the outskirts of London)
Arsenal v Chelsea
United v City
Middlesbrough v the Derby/Leicester winner
Huddersfield Town v Burnley
Blackburn v Fulham
Oxford v Millwall
Lincoln City v Wolverhampton

The 5th round draw is complete. I had a meeting cancelled so was able to watch the it "live" on my computer...

Burnley v Lincoln City
Fulham v Tottenham
Blackburn v Manchester United
Sutton United v Arsenal
Middlesbrough v Oxford United
Wolverhampton v Chelsea
Huddersfield v Manchester City
Millwall v Derby or Leicester

There are no all EPL match-ups. This could set up for some really big quarter-final matches if the top teams play to their level. Would be pretty special if the likes of City, United, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, and Leicester were 6 of the 8 in the QF's. All of those teams are still active in European play too (4 in CL, 2 in Europa).

WTH. I'll take Arsenal over Sutton United.

I always find it silly to over think things sometimes.

Lincoln City!!!!!!
Wow, great finish and a huge win at Burnley. First 'non-league' team to advance to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup since the 1914.

Glad I didn't try and get cute. Almost picked Burnley. Hopefully Arsenal doesn't blow it tomorrow
