Ex-UConn QB Chandler Whitmer now quarterbacks coach for Indiana football, Heisman winner Mendoza

I thought he had some talent as a QB, but under P and GDL he never had a chance. He must know the game pretty well given the coaching positions he’s landed.

I'll tell you when he really didn't have a chance. When he snuck out wide and the idiot PA guy announced it to the entire stadium. The QB was oblivious and didn't check off, threw the ball to Chandler and he received a brutal hit while he was defenseless.

I remember that. It was truly sad.

Looks like he might be on a rocket ride. Does he slowly work up the ladder at P4, or step back to G5 for a bigger job. Should be ready for a coordinators job in another year or so.

Really liked Whitmer when he was here, but do tend to confuse him with trick shot Johnny McEntee, now political operative

That is probably the worst thing anyone has said about Whitmer ever.

I could see him being confused with Sherrifs because both were at least fairly competent but ended up as walking bruises every Sunday.

Not referring to how they played FB, just one of those quirky things your mind does. Really liked Whitmer the QB, loved McEntee the Entertainer.

Me too. I remember that he did not get much protection.

I think archives will show I thought that play was a fireable offense. I think I even said I would support firing the coaches on the spot.

Why am I not surprised? Would be fun to check the Yard that day, but who has the time.

I was with you, Chin. Instead, the guy got another decade.

The internet never forgets.

Wasn’t Whitmer the QB that kept getting concussions in part because of P and D’s ridiculous pay calling?

Whitmer is benefiting in part because he was shown what not to do.

Rich, are you confusing concussion prone Casey Cochran with Chandler Whitmer who just kept dusting himself off and heading back to the huddle.
