These are my observations, briefer than the briefs that will be out there.

-Hurley allowing terrible shots to go unpunished from AG and Vital. I maybe counted 3 bad shots Indiana took, counted at least 8 from AG and CV

-Carlton apparently doesn’t know what defensive rebounding is, what boxing out is, or what jumping is. Indiana’s extra possessions in the last 5 minutes killed us.

-Bench was atrocious, right now when Bouk isn’t scoring he isn’t doing anything. BA looked like 2018-2019 BA, scared to dribble and very turnover prone.

-Hurley continuing to run an offense where an immobile big gets the ball 30 feet from the basket

When our “good” shooters can’t hit the side of a barn, we lose. CV literally handed the ball and the game to Indiana because he is put in a position where he shouldn’t be. That’s bad coaching.

Hurley went with AG & CV because they were the only guards that were really able to give us a chance tonight.

They aren't great shooters but CV can get hot, the turnovers lost the game...should have been a 10 pt win but gave it away.

Hurley needs to call timeouts quicker and his sub patterns are hurting momentum at times but he's treating our 4th year guards completely different than the rest of the team and it's badly hurting us. Love the guy but he isn't holding them accountable during these games.

Carlton giving up 5 straight uncontested points to some ugly white kid who shouldn't be a P5 player was really the biggest issue. No urgency whatsoever from him outside of the offensive post tonight.
I’ve said this before, but the next time I see him jump for a rebound will be the first. I understand that getting on your tippy toes against teams like Iona works, but not against guys just as big as you. The 18 points are cool and all, but his defense, rebounding and turnovers make it a wash.

When was the last time either had an average shooting night? Maybe they would if they eliminate pull up 3 pointers and contested deep 2’s from their games, but it seems to be too late for that.

Those are pretty big things for a coach to be doing wrong.

They aren’t great shooters is the understatement of the century.

We likely would have won or at least maintained our dignity had they not played. Instead they took a nationally televised dump.

What I learned tonight is give me a grad transfer point guard who can dribble and not turn the ball over for next year. Don’t need him to score.
get me an ol RJ Evans from holy cross and im sold!

Maybe next year but Bouk, BA or Gaffney aren't winning that game either...was up to AG & CV to win.

That was the biggest issue? Not the 11 turnovers and 3/17 shooting from our senior guards?

It was weird tonight because we had moments where we played like a different team and played well. Then we reverted to the team of the last few seasons. We rushed shots, committed way too many TO’s, played selfish hero ball(CV), allowed a 16-1 run without scoring for almost 5 mins. The momentum totally changed and our outcome was what I’ve been seeing for the last 3 seasons.

dickie v is old and blind, and even with replay, he couldn't see the incidental/not a foul lowbridge that propelled josh into that play. but for 'turnover city,' I thought the team played excellent defense with a high motor. sid was a real factor in his 11 minutes, while young James hustled, with little to show, for his 15 minutes. josh be josh-we're fortunate to have him, and akok be tallin.' on the udder hand, if there are around 40 or so boards a game, and ag and polley, as big minutes guys, are only good for around 4, that seems like an obstacle to overcome every single game. and, if ag is only considered a passer, and polley only considered a 3 pt shooter, well thats a big chunk of the starters being 'only' specialists. i leave it up to coach to know and do what's best, cuz, he good. hard hitting game. turnover city. movin on, getting better.

Agree with most of your post but you have to give big Carl a bit of a pass. He was going hard and he was spent by the end of the game.
