Why can't we come out every game with the mindset that we are down 16 with 6 minutes to go? At this point last night is the time where this team finally let loose and just played the game. We need to be running at all times to generate good offense and play with a sense of urgency from the beginning.

Free Throws - we know this team can make them, it has to be lack of focus. Even our best shooters are missing way too many. We know this is correctable.
Passing - our passing is horrendous. Way too many lazy passes whether it be off of inbounds plays or just leaving their feet and trying to pass while in the air. This is correctable.

Hamilton - passing up way too many wide open 3's to drive and either get ball stripped because of lack of control or he does set himself up with good shot, he just isn't knocking them down enough. Take the open 3 as he showed he can make them down the stretch.
Purvis - please stop leaving your feet and passing. take the ball to the hole and get the layup or draw the foul. This is your strength.

As a team, just numerous turnovers on silliness. Two guys fighting for a rebound and lose it to other team for layup, just dropping a pass and losing it out of bounds, not being able to execute in bounds pass without turning it over.

Lack of focus - good thing is this is correctable.

We are young and hopefully will get better.

This team is not ever going to score points easily. There can't be stretches of games where they lose focus or they aren't going to the Tourney. And when you struggle to score you can't miss as many foul shots and bunnies as we do either.

This team is barely over .500 over a third way into the season. Unless they want to correct their focus problem in the NIT, they better wake up.

Need to change the starting line up.

Need to realize that we need a productive big on the 2nd unit which we simply dont have and we need more offense to start the game. Its pretty simple.

Not really that simple. But whatever.

I understand that there is parity in college hoops but these losses to unranked opponents are more than an outlier. These problems are well documented and have been attributed to youth, inexperience, chemistry, new faces, but let's face it. We have 1 sure handed starting guard, we turn the ball over a lot, average or less free throws for a team that doesn't have great shooting. We'll win games but It's not correctable this year IMO. Hope I'm wrong but don't think so. Still love my team but it's time for realism.

Pretty simple--move Facey to the second unit and move either Calhoun or Samuel to unit 1. facey will give us production as a 4-5 off the bench.
I would replace Purvis with Omar.

Second unit is an NBA term, since the bench will play large amounts of minutes together (end of 1st/start of 2nd - end of 3rd/start of 4th). There is generally no "second unit" most of the time in college, it's a steady rotation where often you'll usually have three starters on the floor at all times. Obviously there are exceptions, but you won't typically have a bench that plays together as a group.
