That's when we finally had Calhoun on the bench (and not in pain) and the full squad back. I also think that is when Shabazz got healthy as well. The quickness that seemed lost this year showed reappeared in the BET.

While it's nice to finally be whole, this team will have to learn on the run. JC usually prepares the team in January and February. Starting Thursday, the learning curve goes up at a 90 degree angle. There is no time to break them down to build them back up in his image.

This team team could be really, really good. The top ten team we expected. Or it could look like the teams that always begin Big East play looking a little lost. This is a new situation for everyone including JC. Of course, he is JC and he's on our bench, so I have hope.

Its true we have never seen a season like this before. I feel that Uconn has been a sleeping giant all year. They have all the talent they need and experience from a national championship run last year. I guarantee every coach in the South region is probably losing sleep thinking about facing Uconn at some point as the 9th seed. Calipari is fuming at the thought of a second round game against us.
