Everyone wrote UConn off, but look who is heating up just before March Madness

they are playing better and playing as a team. They still have weaknesses and lapses that aren't going away this season. But with 4 more games, I would be ok with them going 2-2 with 0 blowout losses. that means they have to beat one of Houston, cinci, or smu, along with a win against east Carolina before the aac tournament. This is realistic and should put them in a solid position for the aac tournament in Hartford.

Can we at least wait until after Houston to declare this and better yet, see if Uconn wins the next two...than I can start to jump on board with an article like this. But this is a little too soon, despite a 7-1 record over the last 8.

Highly unlikely they get an at-large bid. Though I don't follow much CBB other than UConn, there doesn't seem to be many compelling stories that haven't already been beaten to death. Those 14 loss teams came when there were 6 major basketball conferences. Even when Louisville won in 2013 and UConn won in '14, the AAC has not been treated like a major conference, post Catholic split.

UConn has been pretty exciting lately, but the two comebacks were vs. Memphis and Temple and they got demolished vs. the only good team in the 8 game stretch. The Huskies are going to have to win the AAC Tournament and even then, the committee will not treat them as fans had grown accustomed over the last two decades.

This team has definitely gotten better over the course of the season, but despite winning 7 of our last 8, the quality of basketball they played during that span wasn't good enough to be NCAA threats. It may have kept our hopes alive for that possibility by winning the games, but there are things that still need to change between now and the end of the season.

Was a nice article with some positivity. But let's take care of the next four games first

These articles don't win or lose games. But they can help with recruiting. It gets harder for coaches to negative talk KO with each win particularly with this type of press. In this final portion of the season UConn is playing not only for the postseason but for the future.

We want these type of articles even now. It's just that we also need them to continue and that can only happen if the team continues to trend upwards.
