No, that bracket stinks. Next question.

My question was directed towards UConn fans, but since they're all sleeping I'll ask you: what's the problem, shades of Philadelphia?

To tell you the truth, I hope it's Kentucky at the #2 slot in the Kingston Region. You can always hope for better luck on Monday night, I guess.
.

I'm not fond of that bracket, because it seems that UConn plays some teams they've plyed before, which is less fun. Still, you may not have noticed what has almost happened at the other end of that bracket. If Samford were ranked just one measley spot lower, at 16 instead of 15, we would have Samford playing Stanford. I would pay real money to hear an announcer call that game.

Yep.... shades of Philly :(

Of course I would want Duke to play in Raleigh..... it would help attendance greatly..... and of course it would allow me to attend. Then again, I would love to play the first rounds in Chapel Hill.... that would be so much fun :D

If they sent MD to Raleigh.... I would prefer them to send Duke to Iowa or Fresno. I would love to see different potential regional finals. Dont wanna see UCONN vs Duke, Baylor vs Tenn... Stanford vs Tenn..... I guess I wouldnt mind a ND-Duke rematch in Raleigh.

My dream matchups.... UCONN vs Maryland in Kingston.... Kentucky vs Baylor in Iowa...... Stanford vs Duke in Raleigh.... and Miami vs ND in Fresno. :D I know those will never happen.... but those would be very entertaining regionals if all the 1s and 2s advance... which I doubt they will.

Some mixed NCAA Division matchups you'd like would be Seton Hall vs. Seton Hill and Cornell University vs. Cornell College.

1. You'd have to be completely batty not to like that bracket for UConn. Playing in New England, a 4/5 that includes a perennial underachiver and a team that lost to UConn by 30, and a 2/3 that includes a team UConn beat easily in their gym while playing horrifically on offense (not because of the opposing defense- just awful shooting) and a Penn State team that has absolutely nothing to seriously threaten UConn playing in the remote vicinity of their capabilities? Are you kidding me?

2. That won't be the bracket.

Why'd ya hafta spoil everthin?

Pretty much. Though I would like to see Rutgers and Nebraska switch on the been there done that thing.

1. you are right...still like Nebraska rather than Rutgers

2. hope you are wrong

Unlikely UConn will play Rutgers in that scenario.

Also think Rutgers will get a seed higher than 7 based on RPI and some amnesty vis a vis the Rushdan injury.

I agree, but I saw a Nebraska game a couple of weeks ago and thought it would be a neat team to match up with UConn if we and they could get through to that and evry darn RU game is just so ugly! Villanova and RU should be condemned to play each other every game of every season until V goes bald and Harry loses the new hair he reportedly grew!

Duke versus Duquesne - Duke versus the Dukes

"Regions not reflective of Final Four pairings" In Charlie's bracketology header. So, I'm dense, but what the hack does that mean!?!

Wayne State College versus Wayne State University?

I thought that "Automatic Bids" were decided by the Conference Tournament Championship and not the regular season champion. So how come NOTRE DAME is in caps and UConn is not?

Duke versus Duquesne - Duke versus the Dukes

Is that the Duquesne's nickname? Duke did play James Madison the previous two years... another Duke vs The Dukes.

think he just means that, just because he has two regions on the same side of the page, that doesn't mean those will be who meets in the final four. That won't be known until the actual brackets come out.

Yes.

Not exactly... Charlie does rank the #1 seeds when he does his bracket, and sometimes he tweets or posts the order in an article, but for some strange reason (I'm guessing a software limitation), the ESPN web page where his bracket is posted does not show the order or even show the regional pairings correctly. ESPN should fix that some year. But they'd better not put the same geniuses who rewrote their community forum software on the project.

It is bizzare really. It's like saying this is how I see it, but don't be fooled into thinking I actually have final 4 match up possibilities on this page...I put all my knowledge and best guesses on this page but my employer has screwed it up so you really can't talk about it like it's serious when it gets really serious! Seriously, WTFIT! The ding it "Mothership" can't get it right! 'Course these are the same people who produce the bizarre (read not funny even for dumb jocks) ads with jocks and commentators walking in and out of elevators!

I'd LOVE that bracket for us.

Would they really set up such an early exit for TN by putting them in Baylor's bracket? The committee is still going to want to set things up for big TV events ...
