Napheesa Collier, the No. 7 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the 2015 class, has narrowed her choices down to Missouri, Connecticut, Notre Dame, Kentucky and Maryland.

In addition, Napheesa Collier has a connection to WNBA star Maya Moore. And Collier has many interesting hobbies -- including boxing.

After reading the article, I would be really surprised if she would commit to any other school than UConn. Unless it is Missouri to stay close to home. Her connection with Maya helps the recruiting process also.

It was reported that Geno flew to St. Louis very recently for the specific purpose of watching Collier play in a high school game.

Consider how many teams, er, programs have the combination of budget and coach's dedication to commit to a trip like this. Then consider the possible effect on the recruit and her family and coaches of having the UConn/Olympic/Hall of Fame enter the gym. Makes it easier to understand how Geno and UConn stay on top.

Kib - absolutely! I think this is also a recognition that he has to make the trips when he can because of the USA basketball commitment and some conflicts in May and then in the fall of 2014.

Please add it was permitted by the NCAA. ;^)

I'm surprised there's no private jet that he could take out of the Willimantic airport to and from with a car service to handle his ground transportation needs. It's not like it's that expensive if the school already has the private jet.

Collier scored 36 points last night with Geno and other coaches watching.
