ESPN Top 100 men's NCAA basketball players ranked going into 2025-26

If he stays healthy Reed is going to shoot up that board

Mullins???
To be fair, they are kinda consistent in that the top rated US HS freshman is #85 in Duke freshman Nikolas Khamenia who was #15 in the ESPN high school rankings. So I'd say their perspective is that Mullins is borderline top 100. In total, only 11 freshman on the list, with Dybantsa at #2. Don't know much about any of them, but fitting that they have #1 through #10 on the list, then skip down to a Dukie at #15. LOL

Reed is seriously underrated.

I agree. I think he's poised for a big season. Hopefully the hamstring doesn't give him problems. But I can also understand the reluctance to rank him higher. Remember he only played 20 mpg last season and didn't even start (I know, I know but that's a fact). That's what most people outside of UConn fans see.

The people who make these lists should actually watch the games. Clingan averaged 13 minutes as a freshman, anybody with eyeballs should have seen he was a dominant player. Same goes for Tarris but he does it differently.

I was curious where they had Clingan, and Cam Spencer for that matter, 2 years ago. I couldn't find it so maybe they didn't do this same list. But they did do it last year. For ishts and giggles here is the list. Kind of funny in retrospect.

Here's the same kind of thing from CBS Sports.

18. Solo Ball ("If Ball was an above-average defender, he would've cruised into our top 10.")
26. Alex Karaban
49. Tarris Reed Jr.
68. Silas Demary Jr.

The concentration of talent among some of the best teams even as deep as the sport is this season may particularly catch your eye. Of the 101 players, 26 teams are represented by at least two players. Eleven of the teams have three players on the list. Purdue and Florida have four players and UConn leads the way with five players in the Top 100 And 1 Players.

This and the subtitle say UConn has 5 players on the list. I only see 4. Did I miss one? Did they pull Mullins out because he's injured?

They updated it to say UConn has 4 players on the list. I'd say, again, Mullins is borderline top 100.
