2019 Basketball Class Rankings

UConn ranks 18th with two ESPN100 commits - #87 James Bouknight and #97 Jalen Gaffney.

The Huskies landed their backcourt of the future in the span of one week in September, with ESPN 100 guards James Bouknight and Jalen Gaffney both pledging to UConn. Bouknight is the scorer of the two, and he boosted his stock during a strong July. Gaffney was overshadowed on the AAU circuit by five-star teammates, but he can really shoot the ball from the perimeter and is unselfish with the ball in his hands. Dan Hurley will look to shore up the frontcourt next.

Still involved with #10 Precious Achiuwa, #31 Kofi Cockburn, #39 Akok Akok, #80 Tre Mitchell and unranked 4* Qudus Wahab.

A lot of the top 5-star recruits like to wait until the spring to commit. Duke will end up with a great class, again.

I am absolutely flabbercashted that recruits continue to be bought in to Louisville...they're a very fortuneate program to enjoy the spoil of such riches.

Pretty big variance in team rankings based on the site you use. 247 has us at 40th and #3 in the AAC. Either way we'll finish top 15 if we get 2 of our remaining targets.

Duke will end up with a great class, but they've already missed out on quite a few 2019 targets. Quite unusual for them. Makes me wonder about those Coach K retirement rumors.

Unfortunately for everyone not named Duke I still think they'll end up with a top 3 type of class regardless of where they stand now. Sure they only have 1 commit inked this far but at least it's a burger boy type.
