That is what I never understood about the NBC offer - they basically handed over content for nothing.
At least I know where the ESPN channels and SNY are on my dial. It would be midway through the half before I'd find NBCSN OR CBSSN.
Looks like this is the final dagger. Buy the content and bury it on FOX-Papua/New Guinea.
UConn just needs to get out of the Big East.
Hey you turned down ACC offers not once but twice! What do you expect.

NBC owns SNY
NBC Universal owns a sliver of it. (Comcast essentially owns NBC.)
The Mets own 65% of SNY, Time Warner owns 25%+ and NBC owns less than 10%.
Here's what I don't get. Aresco is telling ESPN that they have to give the BE the same exposure NBC promised. So, essentially, ESPN can't bury them.
What did NBC promise that's so hard for ESPN to match?
ESPN has four or five cable stations and can sub games out to Fox - NBC essentially has one cable channel.
NBC brought a spork to a gunfight.
Dunno, People seem to think NBC promised several network games.
