He had Jones for half a season and the defense was a lot better until the moment he got hurt.

The 2011 and 2012 defenses that P inherited were about as good as any in the country. He didn't need to improve the offense all that much to be a 6-8 win team in each of those two seasons. Once GDL "transitioned" the OL and P allowed the culture to go to hell the 2013 season was pretty much inevitable.

I don't think we are nearly as talented now and I have no reason to believe that Diaco recruits any better than he manages the other aspects of being a head coach. I hope I'm wrong.
