Loving the fact that when we get a commitment from the 33rd ranked player (per ESPN), it makes the front page of ESPN.

UCONN progress. #kevinollie

Yes, I just used a hashtag. My first one I think. Appropriately not on twitter either.

I know you were on hiatus for a while, but I thought you were here for the #winning campaign in which case, you think wrong.

But to your point -- I noticed that too. In my head though I chalked it up to being a fairly cool sport climate right now (save for the World Cup.) Post NBA draft, pre NFL camp, boring middle of the baseball season.

Yes, I was! But iirc I ended most posts with: WINNING!

Although, you could be right. If so, there are a lot worse ways to dip your toes in the hashtag water than a Crazy Charlie Sheen Mojo Movement. That particular Mojo campaign remains my favorite thing ever from Boneyard history. Still makes me chuckle.

Need to step up your game #beingchasedbychampionships

But all the conspiracy theorists on the board believe that ESPN hates us, how is this possible???

They are trying to cover their tracks for their possible involvement in keeping UConn out of the ACC. ESPN hates UConn. Don't kid yourself.

They are dissing us because they are making a big deal about us getting a top 40 player- I mean that has not happened since what?- last year. Hopefully it means they are turing the corner thanks to Ollie- but wait for the "can he win with his own players" comments to follow the next top player that commits to UCONN.

The way I see it, you only hear about a player's commitment this early on the headlines of ESPN is if the player a) is clearly a top prospect and/or b) the program who got him is elite.

I never would have thought I could beat that Winning/Charlie Sheen run. But seeing that mosh pit of students doing the Testiculo Dance gave me chills.

I think what gave me particular pleasure from the sheen campaign was the bombardment of the women's board. I Inc Prankster lead the charge on that one, leading to the infamous 'ignore' list.

Testículo's greatness lies in the fact that he started off so ignominious. Going from widely panned, to celebrated, to transcending the board by making his way into the public. That and: 1. that particular brand of humor is right in my wheelhouse, and 2. I was on it early.
