Yes, but Tennessee has a good WCBB program as well, and on Volnation there are 5.8 million posts on the football board compared to 250k posts for all women’s sports. It’s just interesting how little interest there is for Uconn football.

You do realize UT football has national championships and has been in the SEC for eons? And not all UConn football fans care to post on a message board. Plus, there's been the past several years of incompetence.

Schools are fleecing college students across the country, the athletes are creating billions in revenue every year, and are not even allowed to make money off their own likeness.

Actually, that was my point. There is no comparison between the sports fans at a school like UT and UConn. At UT, there is football, and things to watch until football season comes around again. Which would explain why there are 23 football posts for every 1 womens’ sports posts.

Harvard charges about $68,000 for tuition and room and board. They have an endowment of over $38 billion. And there is a waiting list to get in. Evidently some people think it is a worthwhile investment. And while you claim that schools are making billions off the athletes, it seems like every article talks about how the vast majority of schools lose millions on their athletic programs.

True, but it has been more than 20 years since their last national championship, and as you pointed out they have had recent years of incompetence. 4-8 and 5-7 the last two years with a combined conference record of 2-14. But they still get 90,000 to their games and their fans are some of the most loyal in the country. And while not all their fans post on message boards, the split is still 23-1 for football over WCBB.

Virtually no one doesn’t get into Harvard due to finances. If you qualify academically, you get primarily funded.

I didn’t claim “schools were making billions”. I said the players are creating billions in revenue. There’s a difference between profit and revenues, and it’s not one that should require an explanation for anyone who graduated high school.

Harvard doesn’t offer athletic scholarships, and, unlike 99.9% of the rest of colleges in America, their graduates are practically guaranteed employment upon graduation. Probably not the best school to pick to make your counter argument.

At least you’ve accepted the fact that tuition, room and board is not income.

Lastly, most athletic programs lose money. But I didn’t claim field hockey players should be paid. Allowing players to earn money based off their likeness, however, isn’t akin to the school paying them.
