Wow, I wonder what Randy and Murphy are thinking? Paying players would be the end of G5 football.

What would that law look like exactly? It is going to happen just when. When you have politicians making this statements, like Senator Chris Murphy who thinks they need to be paid. I can see congress passing a law making this a law.
Again it's coming, just when
The SEC already pays players.
We have fans who think the Big Ten wants UCF and we should go FCS over on the women's bball forum.
As the English call them, glory hunters.UConn has to be the only school in the country where there are more posts on the WCBB board than the football board.

Well, the women do have 11 national championships so there is that ...
You do realize UT football has national championships and has been in the SEC for eons? And not all UConn football fans care to post on a message board. Plus, there's been the past several years of incompetence.Yes, but Tennessee has a good WCBB program as well, and on Volnation there are 5.8 million posts on the football board compared to 250k posts for all women’s sports. It’s just interesting how little interest there is for Uconn football.
You can't actually think this is a fair comparison, can you?Yes, but Tennessee has a good WCBB program as well, and on Volnation there are 5.8 million posts on the football board compared to 250k posts for all women’s sports. It’s just interesting how little interest there is for Uconn football.
Scholarships toward tuition, room and board are not income.Vanderbilt Tuition and room and board is over $60,000. Not a bad income for a college kid.

Edit...
And there's zero reason for any school to charge $60k a year when they have a $6.5 Billion endowment.
Schools are fleecing college students across the country, the athletes are creating billions in revenue every year, and are not even allowed to make money off their own likeness.

That’s a good one.Noticed Randy panned Head Coaches getting $7 million a year...How about Head Coaches getting $1 million dollars a win?
Virtually no one doesn’t get into Harvard due to finances. If you qualify academically, you get primarily funded.Harvard charges about $68,000 for tuition and room and board. They have an endowment of over $38 billion. And there is a waiting list to get in. Evidently some people think it is a worthwhile investment. And while you claim that schools are making billions off the athletes, it seems like every article talks about how the vast majority of schools lose millions on their athletic programs.
I didn’t claim “schools were making billions”. I said the players are creating billions in revenue. There’s a difference between profit and revenues, and it’s not one that should require an explanation for anyone who graduated high school.Harvard charges about $68,000 for tuition and room and board.
