She will end up at South Carolina. With 3 of the top 10 recruits committing she will see herself winning multiple titles .. im sure Dawn is using that as a huge selling point, the SEC the top conference, USA head coach, great education to, bla bla bla, UCONN in a bad conference , there football program is a joke, UCONN dominance needs to come to a end, play with her good friend Boston, sure they made up there minds as soon as they got back from there weekend trip to storrs and notified each other of three package deal, remember Dawn in a video saying the coaches did a amazing job on these recruits and how many times they lost out on so many recruits they wanted, how they heard a lot of no’s. How it felt good to finally hear yes. And the most important statement she said was she and SC were not done with the recruiting class... all the writing is on the wall. Haley is headed to South Carolina
More strange things could happen, just don't see where South Carolina has room for Haley Jones. It not just 3 of top 10 recruits it has coming in it is 4 of the top 13.

I don't know why Boston chose SC. I am guessing that Boston is not worried about playing time at SC. She knew that she was going to play a bunch as freshman. She is really good. Jones is the same way. Wherever she goes, playing time for her will not be an issue. If she chooses UCONN, she starts from day one, just like CW.
As was my point...except she is not coming to UConn.

Tons? Can you name 3?
Just read this thread from the beginning, any thread concerning Geno's current coaching methods or any other recuit related thread and come up with your own 3.

And what happens to the underclassmen already on the team? Are they willing to start now and possibly ride the bench next year and the year after, etc.? Time will tell...

Just because three SC fans hit her twitter up?

No clue what you mean by "hit her twitter up", I'm not a twitter person. I'm saying this because of her "style" that comes across reading her "tweet", meaning what she would like to to have at her signing and invite all to attend and what not...it's more of a Dawn style...and I'm sticking to it. :p

The same problem UConn has when they recruit the #1 player every year and more often than not land her: kids transfer. I doubt all of the players from Dawn's big haul this year will finish their career as Gamecocks.

This is taking promotion a bit too far. Again the new standard for high school recruits.

Or perhaps it is a good thing for the promotion of women's basketball as a sport to have the #1 player announce her selection on ESPN (SportsCenter).

VERY few female players get to make their live announcements on ESPN (while the top men's players are able to do so, if they want). Candace Parker was the first female high school player who made her announcement live on ESPN. The number of players that have done so ever since can be counted on one hand.

You may choose to complain about this being the new standard for high school recruits, but I choose to see this as promotion of WCBB overall and a tool to draw more interest (and viewership) to the sport.

I think Megan Walker announced on ESPN but I'm not 100% sure.........

Just waiting for the first recruit to use multiple pens to sign or to issue a commemorative coin.
Very good.

I'd be surprised if Haley does not announce for Stanford. And would be a big blow for Stanford if she does not, as I believe there was another pretty elite 2019 recruit who will pretty certainly be a McD's AA that they passed on in order to reserve their final scholarship for Haley.

To matter when Wilson committed on espn to
South Carolina. Espn has nothing to do with UCONN. She’s going to South Carolina or Stanford. I would be absolutely shocked if she heads to UCONN .. more shocked then Boston committing to South Carolina. Don’t think distance makes a difference look at her final schools.. it will come down to who has a better chance to win a national title and who will get her ready for a long career in basketball after school... basketball and education is so very important obviously but without her basketball talents she wouldn’t be in this situation on getting a full ride .. so basketball goals will win out in the end .. so Dawn will sell that to Haley and Tara will also sell that and add the closeness to her home and family. It’s down to Stanford and South Carolina which oddly both will have rosters of the maximum of 15 players next season.. a lot of unhappy people sitting on the bench but Haley will start at either school so that means nothing in the sceme of it all. Geno has a lot of work to do and his coaching staff... get on 2020 now!!!! The future of the program counts on it.... and Do whatever you can to get out of that crappy conference because the football program is a absolute joke and is not gonna get any better anytime soon....

Olivia Thompson is coming in as a PWO, three point specialist, so she won't count against scholarship limits. Also, most people expect Te'a Cooper to declare after this season, though she might decide to come back to win a national title.

No, but they do like to go to other sporting events. Most of the WBB team usually sits about 20 feet from my seats at football games.

Just a thought, but, do you ever foresee when it is not doom and gloom for Connecticut women's basketball? I do not like being depressed.

actually HJ has been very modest in her use of social media in hyping her recruiting plans over the past months........from everything I have read she appears to be a great player and a better teammate.....She has three historically great basketball powers to choose from and one up and comer that has a great fan following....conventional wisdom has always been that if it's all about basketball then UConn is the place to go.......apparently that is no longer true at least not for the 2019 recruiting class.......I'm hoping against hope that Jones will be the player to right the UConn recruiting ship.....if she chooses to go elsewhere then my dire warnings over the past months will have come to fruition......I will take no great pleasure in that..
Didn’t her finalist list include five teams?
