That's been his biggest issue, though it hasn't become a problem until the last few years. Accruing haters was fine when there were no black marks on the program and we were just rolling along winning games, but now that hateability is compounding our situation(s) with the NCAA, with the media eager to pile on. And that last factor is something that actually affects recruiting, actually affects the final product on the basketball court.

The apologist thing is annoying though. We have nothing to apologize for except for not disguising our programs academic shortcomings as well as the other big boys... That, and the unfortunate coincidence of mark emmert's sour ass being in charge of this organization.

I agree with you, except that's not what apologist means, fyi.
