ESPN Basketball Recruiting - Player Rankings

Interesting comments about Reddish, who is now #3. Shittu is now #9.

Cameron Reddish is the second-best NBA prospect in the class
Because he has grown to a legitimate 6-foot-8, with a strong body and emerging skill, Reddish is the second-best NBA talent in this class. His frame allows him to score through and over contact while being a strong threat behind the arc. Defensively, he could stand out if he would make a commitment. When considering positional size, which the NBA deems important, Reddish has the best of any player in the class outside of Bagley.

Did Tre Jones move up like 50 spots because he is Tyus Jones's brother and penciled in to go to Duke?

Not surprised to see Cormac Ryan move up to #50. With a shot like his he's going to be a true talent.

Guys we're recruiting:

Cam Reddish (#3)
Moses Brown (#6)
Simi Shittu (#9)

Louis King (#16)
Luguentz Dort (#24)
Nassir Little (#36)
Jalen Carey (#55)
Emmanuel Dowuonna (#63)
Isaiah Mucius (#67)
Hamier Wright (#80)
Eric Ayala (#87)
Montez Mathis (#99)
Immanuel Bates (#100)

Italics = "guy we're going after real hard"
Italics + bold = "guy we're going after real hard and have a decent shot at landing"

EDIT: It also kills me to see so many New England kids we're not involved with. Swider, Reeves, Duke, Laszewski... this sucks.

Good call on dowuona rise, matrim. I was hesitant at first to see wuat, you were, but you had the call. Kid was essentially unranked up until now

Also: are we not in on sweder (who rose a ton), reeves, or David duke?

No, we aren't involved with any of the top New England kids.

Two guys who are priorities not ranked in the top 100: SF Ignas Brazdeikis from Canada and PF Ian Steere from North Carolina.

IMO Brazdeikis is a top 25 player in the class – no idea why he isn't ranked. And Steere looks like a top 100 talent as well.

I believe most of the sites that do rankings have made the decision not to rank prospects who attend high school outside the U.S. Brazdeikis does play on the AAU circuit though.

Dort shot up those rankings. I thought I saw him around 60.

Yeah brazdeikis has been playing as well as simi shittu on the circuit. Kid is hyper skilled. Alot like jackson with his shot, but lackinf athleticism. More PF type moves though. 22/7.5/2 vs 20/10/3 for shittu

Ah that makes sense. For some reason I thought he'd transferred to a US prep school for this coming year, but I guess that hasn't happened.

Moretti was around 80-100 on the 247 composite, last time I checked. Wasn't Kanter ranked?

Huh? How many kids can you "seriously" recruit? That list is more than fine. Getting your share is the only issue.

100 (2017 Top Basketball Recruits). Looks like he's ranked 126 by 247Sports but none of the other 3 ranking services they use for the composite ranking have him ranked. Couldn't tell who the other 3 they use are but I'd assume Scout and Rivals and then probably ESPN.

I think this is fine as well, and am confused by/at your incredulity.
