Article from Borges on Eric Reibe, who was at the game on Saturday. Hurley loved that F-Bomb Reibe used during his announcement for UConn. Says this year's team is too nice and he needs to recruit more a-hs. Lol

"What's exciting is you hear a lot of the same things that were said about Donovan," Hurley said. "Obviously, with the way that we play defense, he's going to have to make an adjustment to our defensive style. But, I think the way we play is going to help unleash him becoming a rim protector and covering the court. In a similar way that Donovan had questions at Bristol Central. People would come up to me and ask, 'Is he going to play his freshman year? Is he mobile enough?'"

Love it... Good to see that Borges is butchering names, too. Jacob, not Johnny, Furphy...

Is Kalkbrenner a fair comp to Reibe game-wise? (We could go places with that kinda game!)

Not as good defensively. Much more skilled offensively. Takes like 4 threes a game.

Reibe is much more skilled offensively? Kalkbrenner is at 17/8 on 67/43/70 this year.

How hard is it to forget to play defense?

Yeah but Kalk’s like 35…

True... Just trying to temper expectations a little bit that Reibe is already better offensively than one of the best offensive centers in CBB. Seems like peak Boneyardin' to me. Same board that "expected" 20/10 from Ater Majok and a lottery pick year from Jaylin THIS year. Reibe is a great prospect. Love his game. But he'll be a 15-20 minute guy at most next year I think. His soph year, if he's here, will be the year to see the full package (that's sounds wrong.)

yes, ball handling and shooting 3s. Reibe is more like Danny Wolf.
Could we see double bigs a little next year with Reibe and Reed?

Michigan has two very big reasons for its quick change into one of the surprisingly good teams in college basketball: Vlad Goldin and Danny Wolf. The tall-towers duo has started every game, averaging more than a combined 52 minutes. What Wolf and Goldin are doing is not merely unusual, it's unparalleled this season and in recent history. They're both 7 feet tall: Goldin at 7-1 and Wolf 7-even.

How many other teams play two 7-footers together? Michigan is the only one of 364.
