Well, it seems that the beat writers are in love with with McCummings. Not sure if SM is working "under the table" ehh, err,....this is the best depth at qb we have ever had imho. i am very excited about that. i thinkCW keeps his job the next 2 years and i think hes going o be good for us, maybe only 2nd to dan o by his end here. going into the fall of 2015, the battle between CC, RL, TB and a 4th qb who will come from the 2014 class will be a lot of fun to read and watch that off seaon leading up to the fall. by them i hope we have atleast 1 beat writer who failry reports the competition...

CC could very easily give CW a run for his money. They are similar size. CC might have a better more accurate arm. And CW did little to convince he could move smoothly through his progression. Experience counts for a lot. But the job doesn't get handed to CW.
Did people forget that Coach DeLeone is still coaching the Offensive Line? Before we get to 2014, The focus now should be on the Big (if not undersized) Uglies up front and keeping our QBs upright.
"I needed the extra time because it's one of the biggest decision I'll ever make in my life," Lagow said by text message. "It's not just a four- or five-year decision, it's a 40- or 50-year decision. So I had to be 100 percent sure it was the place for me. .. I will be coming in the summer, I'm not sure the exact date, but whenever the rest of the guys move in is when I will, too."
Lagow said he is ready for the competition at quarterback.
"Competition is a good thing," he said. "The extra time I needed had nothing to do with competition. The other QB's are all good at what they do, so it will be a fun experience to be around them and compete with them. We will be supportive of each other because we will respect each other. I look forward to it."
Typically need more than 3.5 seconds on a consistent basis. That line that he was forced to work with was attrocious. The job is Whitmer's to lose. I'm not saying he keeps it, but he goes into the Spring taking the majority of the snaps with the 1st team.
The goal should be at least 4, especially in college ball.Did you just say more than 3.5 seconds? No way. 3 seconds should be it. Get the ball out of your hands.
HFD.... You think CW will be as good as Danny O? NFW. He starts next year out of obligation and is replaced. Either the Xavier boy or Texas Dick supplants him. Chandler slings idearm. THE 2 coming in this year have cannons.

CW did enough last season given the play of the OLine to start spring as the #1.
He didn't do enough to lock the door and throw away the key. There is room for a competitor to overtake him.
I wouldn't be shocked if Cochran starts at least one game next season. And he'd be starting as a RS Frosh.
If the coaches can help it at all, all 3 freshmen should redshirt.HFD.... You think CW will be as good as Danny O? NFW. He starts next year out of obligation and is replaced. Either the Xavier boy or Texas Dick supplants him. Chandler slings idearm. THE 2 coming in this year have cannons.
lol, I'm just seeing this now. So he's coming after all. Ironic that if was hesitating due to QB competition, his hesitation put another QB in the class. I'm very glad to have him aboard but the signing day drama makes me wonder if he is going to become the football version of Alex Oriaki.
Last time I felt this good about the QB spot was 2009 when Endres, Frazer, and Box were all competing. I'm in wait and see mode.
