Supposedly the Marshall boosters and him didn't get along. They ran him off, or he fired Marshall. Probably both.

There are too many bowls, and they should be consolidated. Expand the playoffs to look like FCS, keep 4 or 5 bowls and get rid of the rest.

Yup, it's this reason why the bowls are losing importance, not that there are too many of them. Bowls used to be fun games that had good match ups. Now the match ups are still decent but between the transfer portal and the newish trend of sitting out a meaningless game, they don't have the pull they used to.
